John Biernat spent more than a decade as a law enforcement officer in Harper Woods, Michigan. He engaged in a variety of crime prevention, community outreach, and youth outreach efforts during his time in this position. Throughout his law enforcement career, John Biernat garnered several professional honors and accolades, including recognition as the Fraternal Order of Police Officer of the Year and the Medal of Valor.

Mr. Biernat completed a counseling psychology program at Rochester College and graduated magna cum laude. Before earning his law degree from the University of Detroit, he received the Book Award and dean’s list honors. While at the police academy, he received the MCOLES Outstanding Achievement Award.

In 2019, Mr. Biernat joined the Padilla Law Group. As a practicing attorney in Birmingham, Michigan, he primarily focuses on personal injury and auto negligence cases. He initially joined the firm as an associate attorney, which provided him with extensive experience with case evaluation, facilitation summaries, motions, and trial preparation.

Away from work, his interests include lifting weights, studying foreign languages, and playing various musical instruments.
